Grade 8 - HOGS - Hello! My name is James Drews and I chose to show a pig this year. We purchased my pig from the White Farms pig sale and I named him Whistler. In the beginning he was really skittish but after many hours together I could go in his pen and he would lay down on my lap. Once he broke 200 lbs I didn't really want him doing that any more but he still thinks he needs to be held. I have learned just how stubborn pigs can be and how important patience is when training an animal. Whistler taught me the value of patience since some days I was ready to pull my hair out. I also learned how important it is to establish a trusting relationship between my animal and myself. Thank you so much for taking time to look at this auction and your dedication to the RCFA.
