When assembling this offering I thought it would beneficial to have a polled lot. I asked Grant Vassberg for one and he opened up his inventory for me to pick and I selected a package sired by Mr. US Polled Evolution 409/5 and out of a young donor that has a bright future. I’ve often thought that the breeder who produces an animal that is eye appealing, has performance and is polled will be a leader. Based on the eye appeal and polled influence of Polled Evolution and the performance of Miss Kallion 993 I think this mating could be close to perfection. Mr. US Polled Evolution 409/5 stood out from the day he was born. When weaned off his dam, Evolution's actual weaning weight was an impressive 811 pounds. His yearling weight was 1173 lbs. with his current weight being 2600+ pounds. Evolution 409's sire was Mr JRS Polled Dextor who was a son of the National Reserve Junior Champion, JME US Lexor Manso 71 (P). On the dam side, Evolution goes back to JDH Mr. Martins Manso 384, nicknamed “Doughboy” who came from the J.D Hudgins- Hudgins Division and carried enormous bone. Evolution 409 calves have been structurally sound, big boned, and very growthy. The dam to this mating is Miss Kallion 993 who is sired by Mr. Kallion Tiger 1123 and out of a full sister to the mating being sold in lot 34, Kallion Herd Sire 1716, and the HM 48/1 show heifer of Mack Simpson.
