Femininity. Power. Performance. Perfection. These are all terms to describe Miss WCC Mary Ethyl 140/5. “Mary Ethyl” is one of the highest performing spring borns at Watkins Cattle Company.

“Mary Ethyl’s” flawless design comes to no surprise. The striking resemblance between “Mary Ethyl” and her 2015 National Champion full sister (Miss WCC Gossip Girl 55/2) is outstanding. “Mary Ethyl” is extremely long bodied, big topped, bold sprung but extremely feminine about her shoulder, neck and head. When on the move “Mary Ethyl” covers her track by taking a big, athletic stride.

At Watkins Cattle Company, we cannot speak enough about “Mary Ethyls” dam, TTT Ms Suva’s Vernon 335 (a cow that will probably enter the register of renown this year). She is the matriarch of our breeding program and has produced numerous championship progeny for the ranch. The 335 cow is sired by the former international champion and producer of champions +MK Vernon 349/1. If you look on the bottom side of 335’s pedigree she is out of the famous Tic Tac Toe 961 cow who is sired by the +Mr. Fontenot 125.

The Sire, JDH San Antonio 881/4 bred by Mark Forgason of J.D. Hudgins Inc is a deep red +JDH Elmo Manso 309/4 son and out of a red colored +JDH Atlas Manso 328 daughter. This bull died at a very young age and very few progeny will ever be offered for sale, Miss WCC Mary Ethyl 140/5 is one of only 5 JDH San Antonio sired progeny we have ever offered outside of the ranch.

The genetic combination of J.D. Hudgins genetics combined with an impressive red pedigree of TTT Ms Suva’s Vernon 335 is one we will not stray from at Watkins Cattle Company. This same mating produced the 2014 National Champion female, 2015 All American National Jr Brahman Show Grand Champion female and 2015 National Intermediate Champion red bull. We think Miss WCC Mary Ethyl 140/5 combines the same desirable traits as her full siblings and she’s sure to make a stout show prospect or integral breeding piece for her future owner.

“The Brahman Foundation lays the framework for a prosperous way to invest in youth associated with the Brahman breed. Through enhancing scholarship, leadership and skill building activities young people will be given the resources to enhance their involvement with this great breed of cattle. It is my opinion that in return, ABBA will see a larger number of young people maintaining their involvement with Brahman cattle for decades to come. I chose to be involved in the foundation to create even more opportunity for future young breeders.”
