4H Bonanza T506 was a National Champion ¾ Brahman x ¼ Simmental bull that was produced by Gary Harvey from Seminole, TX. We did some trading and we partnered on the bull calf and his dam. We syndicated the bull and sold over $120,000 in interests in the bull. He was used on Simmental cows to raise purebred 5/8 x 3/8 Simbrah cattle to compete against the Red Hot and Thunder cattle. The Bonanza cattle were not as big and had more color.
His dam was an F-1 produced on the world renown J D Hudgins Ranch. She was moderate, good milking and crossed extremely well with Bravo thus creating some hybrid vigor by crossing some of the best of both grey and red Brahmans. Her dam’s ABBA number was 252844. If you study her pedigree you will find where she goes back to the original Manso bull several times. She came from the Locke divison.
There are several people starting to produce % Simbrahs again looking for new blood. This semen will be a great investment for someone looking to experiment with their Simmental cows or someone wanting to raise some club calves with some clubby cows. Bravo sold over $600,000 worth of semen for us and is still selling semen today. He was a ONE OF A KIND SIRE that produced lots of top quality and top selling cattle all over in several breeds.
