Of the group, this is the one I gave the most consideration to not letting go. This set was born at a calf raiser and when I picked them up at weaning he said, “I don’t know Brahmans well, but I know I wouldn’t sell that one.” It’s hard not to agree with him when you study Avery phenotypically. She’s got all the extra’s that you could look for. Added length and extension with the femininity that catches your eye; elite balance and maternal capacity through her center body; a powerful muscle pattern supported by a big boned, correctly made set of feet in legs; all in a package that has a notch more frame size than her flushmates. With all this coming together, I truly believe that she may have the greatest potential down the road of the set to hang the big banners. Today she does read a little greener than the others because she had to spend a little extra time in the breaking pen, but she’s got it all figured out and she’s getting more show ring ready every day. Like her flushmates selling as lots 1,5,6 and 8, she’s backed by a stellar pedigree. Her dam, +Lady H Emma Manso 288/2 was a champion in her own right, winning the All-American out of the calf division and multiple other titles, and has gone on to out-produce herself with a 2 time ABBA premier gray show cow of the year to her credit. Her sire is one who heavily influenced this offering, M2 BRC Captain 518/1, who we were lucky enough to get in and buy some semen on early in the offering and plan to use his offspring in a lot of our future mating plans. With this combination of pedigree and phenotype, Avery is definitely one to consider shaping a program around and we look forward to sharing in her future success with you.
