This year J.D. Hudgins – Forgason Cattle Company is offering a breeding age bull that combines some of their most proven genetics.  JDH Mr. Manso 407/1 is sired by the National Champion and proven herd sire JDH Mr. Manso 840 “The Graduate”.  Most know of the success of 840 as a show bull but more importantly is his offspring that are influencing herds around the world recently being named as BOTH the Grand & Reserve Grand Champion Females in Guatemala, accumulating a number of championships in the USA and as a result he was named the top point earning sire at the 2018 All American and the #1 Most Widely Used Bull based on registrations in the ABBA for 2018.  As you might expect of such a successful sire he is backed by a proven pedigree being a full brother to the global icon +JDH Mr. Manso 854/4 and sired by the Vanguard sire (+)JDH Atlas Manso 328/3.  Although the top side of 407/1’s pedigree is impressive he is backed by one of the strongest cowlines on the J.D. Hudgins Ranch.  His dam is a young cow that is sired by JDH Mr. Manso 7 who is an outcross sire for the Forgason Family that has produced outstanding cattle for the domestic industry due to his moderate frame size and low birth weight.  Where things really get exciting is the proven dam JDH Lady Manso 842/4 who has produced 19 offspring with 8 of them making show animals for breeders in the USA and Panama with one of the most notable offspring being Jana Wall’s 2018 International Junior Champion Female.  It is rare that J.D.
