We said that there would be just a few special lots and this offering here is certainly no exception. One of the most promising young herd sires we have raised here at La Muneca is available to you today. His promise comes from his uniqueness, as Icon offers a fresh yet elite bloodline with a phenotype loaded with eye appeal and extension. The attribute we have appreciated the most about this calf however, is his soundness – he can get out and travel with the best of them. We cannot overstate the marketability that Icon offers to the industry.
His dam LMC Daydream is one of the hottest donors in the breed and is known for adding consumer demand to her calf crops. She is sired by the 2011 International Champion Simbrah Bull, LMC Rhino and out of the famous, many times major champion LMC WFC Ms. Dream Girl. Daydream was a many times champion for Micah Perkins and Bailey Scogin, including the 2014 Reserve Champion Simbrah Female at the Houston Jr. Show and the 2015 Grand Champion Simbrah Female at the Rio Grande Valley Jr. Show. Daydream is a full sib to the likes of the 2013 National Champion Bull LMC Gold Medal, the high selling females LMC Lucky Charm and LMC Daydream, as well as several other marquee females.
Icon’s sire is the 2012 Denver National Western Grand Champion Purebred Simmental Bull FBFS Wheel Man bull that has gone on to sell hundreds of units of semen for a premium and sired his share of champions, as well as top sellers. Wheel Man’s sire needs no introduction, as he is one of the most widely used and successful Simmental sires of his time, SVF Steel Force. Other notable Steel Force progeny besides Wheel Man include the popular major champion Mr. HOC Broker bull, FBF1 Combustible and several other big time cattle. Wheel Man’s dam is the capacious and productive SVF Star Struck S199 cow that made a name for herself at Foster Brothers Farms. S199 is a ¾ Simmental X ¼ Angus cow sired by the STF Momentum H508 bull that is a direct son to the popular SRS Fortune 500 bull.
As you can see, Icon is backed by some of the most productive cattle in the Simbrah and Simmental breeds. Cattle that have moved the needle forward over the last several years.
