Lot 164 - PABLO GALVEZ - BROILERS

Grade 7 - BROILERS - Hi my name is Pablo Galvez; I am in 7th grade. This is my fourth year to be in the Robertson County Fair. My project this year was broilers this is my fourth year choosing this project. I like to show chickens because it teaches me how to be able to raise my own food source. In order to raise broilers you have to feed them a feeding program which has three kinds of feed and make sure they always have fresh clean water. You also have to make sure they do not get to cold or hot and stir their bedding around daily to prevent ammonia smell and to keep them from developing sores on their breast. You have to cull out the smaller birds to make room as they grow. Being in this program will benefit me positively in the future by teaching me responsibility life skills and to be resilient.
