Grade 3 - TURKEYS - Hello my name is Cade Fannin. I am 9 years old and a member of the Booger County 4H Club. The project I choose to raise this year was a market turkey. Our county show is a hen only show. This is my first year to raise animals for the Robertson County Fair. Raising a poultry project has taught me a lot. It has helped teach me all the responsibilities of raising an animal including caring for and proper feeding of a market animal to reach its maximum potential. I am involved in many extra-curricular activities so this project has also taught me how to manage time. Showing animals is definitely a family project and I have really appreciated all the time that I have been able to spend with my family. There has definitely been a lot of ups and downs throughout this project but this is what will help prepare me for life in the future. Thank you for considering me for this auction.
