Grade 9 - GOATS - My name is Judah Spenrath. My show wether's name is Fredrick Winifred Stokley. I am 15 years old. I bred my own show goat this year. It is my first year showing. I worked my goat by running him and basically making him do wheelbarrows to build up his back and front legs. We had a problem towards the end of the season with our goats getting lice but we took care of that quickly with some baths and fly spray and diatomaceous earth in their bedding. I learned how important it is to exercise your show goat and also that some things don't work out the way you planned. My sister's show goat died right before the fair because he got out and got into the feed. He bloated and we couldn't save him. So we learned to keep them contained and not overfeed them. Thank you for still making it possible to show our goats.
