Several years ago Mike England and I went to visit Beto Salinas, a longtime client of LMC’s to see his polled heifers sired by LMC Poll Aussie. It was my birthday and Beto gave me the mama to this broody, deep bodied, DOUBLE POLLED heifer. Mike’s birthday was the next day and he had been very instrumental in finding us gin trash and hay to keep our cows going in the drought so I gave him half of the heifer. We have been partners on many other cattle since and have enjoyed our partnership as we help each other a lot in both our Brahman business and several charitable organizations that we work with like the STAR GALA, RGV Brahman & F-1 Association and The Brahman Foundation.
This cow has a royal pedigree being out of a V8 cow sired by +MR V8 901/4 and a +JDH Liberty daughter. Her sire Polled Aussie is one of the best POLLED bulls we have produced. We own him with the Schneider’s who are very pleased with his progeny as well. His dam is the Donna cow that we bought from them when we first got started back in the Brahman business. She is a super donor cow that is working now for the Englands and 4F Cattle Co. She is A BEEF MACHINE as is LMC Polled Aussie. We donated her first heifer calf to the inaugural Brahman Foundation Fund Raiser.
The sire to this heifer as you can see in the photo is a super smooth +LMC LF Ambassador son out of a good David Domsch cow that also raised a herd bull we sold Kelly Barnard. He is doing a very good job for the Englands. LMC is very fortunate to have acquired Ambassador as a calf from Double A as he has produced many outstanding heifers and bulls that are THE COWMAN’S KIND.
