In this sale we tried to offer a variety of females for prospective buyers. Ms. Bonchasse 470/9 is the result of an AI sire and one of our most productive cow lines. The sire to 470/9 is +JDH Mr. Manso 236/3 who also sired the 2009 International Senior Champion, the 2014 ABBA Show Bull of the Year and the runner-up to the 2014 ABBA Show Cow of the Year. We tried 236/3 after he was successfully used in several research projects and absolutely love his offspring with two heifers in our current elite herd of Registered Brahmans.
The dam to Ms. Bonchasse 470/9 is a first calf heifer that calved at 35 months and is the result of crossing our Partin & Partin Heart Bar Ranch bull with one of our most proven cows that we have retained two daughters from and as a result of her superior production made our donor program.
In addition to her practical build and production-oriented pedigree you have to appreciate the genetic profile of 470/9 as it ranks in the top of the breed for BW, WW, YW, Milk, REA and Marbling!
We realize that 470/9 might not bolster the “high profile” pedigree of some of the others in this sale but don’t overlook her value as a productive female that can create a strong foundation to breed to some of the more popular sires.
