When I was younger I would go to a show and look at every single Brahman to see which ones I liked to possibly incorporate their genetics into our own breeding program. That is how I found 999 as a calf laying down at the SA show. He looked great laying down and phenomenal once we got him up. So when TJ Gibson approached me at the RGV show several years ago to try & sell me a bull & he told me he was a 999 son I wanted to see him. Once I saw him I went to get our partner in our red cattle Javier Moreno to show him the bull. We were impressed with his pedigree, bone, breed character & muscle. We agreed we should buy him & were fortunate to get him bought.
KR Mr Hennessey Brick 500 is a Red Brahman bull whose semen bank is owned by La Negra & La Muneca. We nicknamed him VINO. He is sired by the Register of Renown Winchester Magnum 999 and out of a Mr. 3X He's Got The Look 40/2 daughter. In addition to Winchester 999, 40/2 & Passport, Vino also carries other greats such as Bravo & 42/3 in his pedigree. Vino has an abundance of bone, muscle, volume & breed character. He is also very gentle, sound & has collected ET quality semen. We purchased VINO hoping that he would reproduce his superior traits because of his powerful phenotype & genotype. He did not let us down as you can see below.
Vino calves are exciting & in demand. He is now owned by our good friend & long time herd bull client, Rex Glover who bought his first bull from us in the early 80’s. If you are needing to add bone, muscle, power, breed character & color, VINO can get the job done.
