Wow, What a bull!
In 2019 Chris Cooley’s Golden Meadows Ranch consigned the Champion Brahman Bull to the San Antonio Livestock Exposition All Breeds Sale that ultimately brought $11,000. GMR Mr. 184 Manso was held back as the Golden Meadows Ranch consignment for the 2020 sale but due to age restrictions was unable to be entered. It was expected that 184 would stand even a better chance of placing and receiving the top bid than the 2019 consignment. All of that to say, this bull is real special! Not only is he moderate framed, stout built, deep ribbed, heavy muscled and gentle but he offers an outstanding pedigree and performance profile. He is sired by #GRDA Mr. Laureano Del Alba who was a two-time National Champion in Mexico and in his first calf crop sired a National Champion daughter that went on to be selected as “Champion of the World”. The dam to 184 is a JDH Eastman daughter that calved first at 28 months of age and regularly afterwards. Not only is this guy built right and comes with a strong family tree but his performance indicators indicate the he should sire small calves at birth that will grow rapidly, have outstanding carcass traits, and daughters that should milk well.
