+ 5P Balia 659 is one of the most prolific Red Brahman sires of all times. He was rich in bone, muscle and breed character which he inherited from the Indu Brazil in his heritage. His cattle were very competitive back in the day when the reds and greys showed together. When we first brought out his progeny they won three ABBA shows in a row with several reserves and got him in the Register of Renown quickly. In a class of 80 greys & reds in San Antonio one day, Emily Dial placed 5 different 659 daughters 2-6.
The CONSUMER DEMAND for 659 semen and progeny was always hot. We sold several 1/10th semen interests for $50,000 and lots of semen to South Africa. His semen sales are now over $500,000. His daughters are great cows. We sold a weanling bull calf out of Bravo and a Champion 659 daughter (see photo below) to Santa Elena in our Best of Bravo Sale that went on to win Houston and sired them lots of good functional cattle. 659 also worked very well in helping to grow the Simbrah breed by producing some excellent F-1 and 1/4 x 3/4 % SImbrahs.
