Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, our Annual STAR GALA cannot be held. It is one of STAR’s greatest traditions as we annually feed over 1,000 Supporters at the Pharr Convention Center with the below Hidalgo County 4-H and FFA Students serving the food to each table. In an effort to raise funds to continue with the STAR Show and Scholarship Program, we are hosting this STAR GALA Online Auction where many of the same auction items we sell every year at the STAR GALA are selling.

The STAR Show dates are January 21-22nd. It will be held at the RGVLS in Mercedes. It is going to be a Premium Show only as we will not have a Premium Auction this year. We will have an Add-On Online Platform set up by show time. Be on the lookout for more details.

Since year one every eligible STAR scholarship applicant that applied and interviewed has won a scholarship, one of STAR’s great traditions. You can once again count on our family to award $10,000 in STAR scholarships in memory of Arcadio, Carmen, Rafael and Víctor Guerra. If interested in awarding a scholarship this year, please contact Laura or Tonya.


We are proud to announce that this year, our scholarship committee interviewed 32 seniors via Zoom and that  32 hard working Hidalgo County 4-H and FFA members will be receiving $42,500 in scholarships. We are proud to have awarded $684,750 to 594 STAR exhibitors since 2004.

Close Out Process

This Sale will feature the Cattle In Motion All In - All Done Sale Close Out Format.
With this close out, as the time counts down No Bidding can happen within 5 minutes of the close of ALL Lots. So if the Lots are set to close at 7PM and with four minutes left (6:56PM), some one bids on lot 4, then enough time is added back to the clock to allow ALL lots to have 5 minutes (new close time is 7:01PM on ALL Lots), and the countdown resumes. Then if someone bids on Lot 8 at 6:59PM, then ALL lots are extended until 7:04PM. this process will go on until no one bids for a period of 5 minutes on ANY Lot.
