This year we are offering our selection of the top bulls born in January and February 2014. An additional feature will be the first three Angus bulls from the Casa Branca herd (this should be an opportunity for serious Angus breeders) that was recently purchased from the Sinclair East Division Dispersal.
Bidding starts February 23rd on the Cattle in Motion site with the closing bidding process February 28. The closing bidding process will begin at 1 P.M. Saturday Feb. 28, 2015 at Bar 5 and close 5 minutes after all bidding. The bulls are on display at Bar 5. Everyone is welcome anytime to visit, view the bulls, enjoy a cup of coffee, all are welcome to attend the closing process and BBQ at the farm.

The bulls are shown with their BIO data taken at the end of Test. All bulls have been semen tested, evaluation certificates available. Contact us early, don’t be disappointed!

Terms & Conditions Animals sell under the standard terms of the Canadian Simmental Association.
Insurance Bar 5 Simmental Farms recommends animals bought at the sale are insured after purchase with your current insurance company as each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
“DNA” Parent Verification We DNA all of our animals so every bull and heifer has its Dam and Sire DNA’D. We have collected hair on every Bar 5 bull and heifer through the Test Station, for future DNA Marker or DNA recordation.
BULLS CAN STAY Bulls can be shipped immediately upon purchase or as of March 1. If you aren’t ready for your bull right away that’s fine – we will keep him here until APRIL 1, free and then $5.00 per day.
Transportation – Bar 5 will arrange for trucking to your farm or a central point; the following normal charges will apply unless the buyer wishes to take care of shipping themselves:

Close Out Process
All In - All Done Sale
This Sale will feature the Cattle In Motion All In - All Done Sale Close Out Format.
With this close out, as the time counts down No Bidding can happen within 5 minutes of the close of ALL Lots. So if the Lots are set to close at 5PM and with four minutes left (4:56PM), some one bids on lot 4, then enough time is added back to the clock to allow ALL lots to have 5 minutes (new close time is 5:01PM on ALL Lots), and the countdown resumes. Then if someone bids on Lot 8 at 4:59PM, then ALL lots are extended until 5:04PM. this process will go on until no one bids for a period of 5 minutes on ANY Lot.
